Wipeout HIV Stigma returns!
Are you ready to conquer the UK’s biggest water obstacle course and make a splash against HIV stigma? Then join Positive East for another exhilarating ‘wipeout’ inspired fundraiser - Wipeout HIV Stigma 2.0!
Slide, drop, flip, swing, and splash your way through an epic water obstacle course, all in support of our essential HIV services.
When: Saturday June 27th, 3 – 7pm
Where: Lakeside Shopping Centre Aqua Park (meeting at Fenchurch Street Station, or there’s the option to drive)
Wipeout HIV Stigma brings the excitement of the beloved gameshow to a one-of-a-kind fundraising event. Groups will compete in a timed race through a thirty-obstacle water course, vying for the title of 'Wipeout Champion.'
More than just a fun day out, Wipeout HIV Stigma directly supports Positive East's vital work in East London. As a leading HIV charity, we provide comprehensive HIV support - from counselling and workshops to testing and prevention - empowering people living with HIV to thrive.
By taking part in Wipeout HIV stigma you are taking a stand against HIV stigma. The funds raised will make such a difference to the lives of our service users.
Free to participate but with a fundraising commitment. Once you've registered your place, Hugh will be in touch with next steps to set up a Just Giving page.
What to expect:
- We will be meeting at Fenchurch Street at 3pm, and then getting the train to Lakeside Aqua Park together.
- Upon arrival we will go through a health and safety briefing.
- We will have the course all to ourselves from 5-6pm!
- The first 30 minutes will be the timed race, followed by a 'free for all' where everyone can enjoy the obstacles at their own pace.
- At 6pm we will head to a nearby venue for celebratory refreshments, a slice of pizza and awards hand out!
