Dérive, A Sensory Mapping of Peckham

What if your senses could map a city?
This workshop invites you to drift, wander, and map the city through your senses.
You'll be handed a random prompt and go through an unplanned journey into the streets of Peckham on your own. You may be asked to follow a colour, chase a texture, walk only eastward, or let a sound or a wind lead you, and along the way, document things that interest you. Everyone will then share their observations and illustrations at the end of the workshop, and together we can create a collaborative sensory map of Peckham.
The workshop will begin with Carmen leading a warm-up illustration exercise, so you will have some insight towards what you can draw or document even if you are new to illustration!
No matter your drawing experience, everyone is welcome. This is not about perfection, it's about presence, curiosity, expression and a chance to slow down, observe, and translate everyday moments into art.
Basic materials included, but you are always welcome to bring your own materials!
