Thee Sustainable Supplementary School is a free gardening programme running May-October 2026 at Glengall Wharf Garden, Burgess Park. Rooted in Black diasporic land practices, the series focuses on planting, growing, and harvesting bottle gourds.
Across intimate sessions, you’ll explore land stewardship, somatic exploration, creative making, historical grounding, and a Summer Solstice gathering (21 June) with a shared meal and seasonal ritual.
Open to all the Global Majority, no experience needed. Under 18s must attend with an adult.
The Sustainable Supplementary School is a growing space for Black and people of colour.
