Directed by Lizzie Borden, Born in Flames is a dystopian, post-punk documentary-style film set ten years after a peaceful socialist revolution in the US. It explores the failures of this new society to deliver equality, following diverse, radicalized women’s groups—including a "Women's Army"—who use pirate radio and direct action to combat persistent sexism, racism, and classism.
We will be screening it in the garden! We have heaters, blankets, and drinks specials… Happy hour from 4pm-7pm.
