!! This Workshop is for 16 - 25 year olds,
Participants under 16 are welcome to attend if accompanied by a parent or legal guardian !!
This cyanotype workshop invites young people to explore the concept of the self-portrait in a literal and figurative sense. It asks: how do our possessions tell a story about us? And is guided by artist, Winona-Zia.
In this workshop, 16–25 year olds are invited to spend an afternoon making cyanotype prints together. Participants are welcome to bring objects and photographs that feel significant to you or your young self.
This is a space for creative exploration, learning, and connection, where participants can try new techniques, share inspiration and engage with queer peers in a supportive environment.
Participants may bring as many items as they like but they must fit onto an A4 page. Before you choose: think about the shape of your objects! Do they let light pass through them? Would they make a clear silhouette? How could their meaning be transformed through the print they leave behind?
Winona-Zia is a Neurodivergent Illustrator, Visual artist and Fibre artist based in London. Passionate about printmaking and working through an activist lens, they focus on themes of childhood, mental health, and identity, typically using Screenprint or Risograph.
