Stitch it Like a Queen sewing classes are back at The Glory for a Halloween special masterclass!
Spend the wondrously gloomy Sunday afternoon making an iconic fishtail skirt or dress a-la Morticia Addams to your own measurements to stun everyone with your ghostly delights!
In this beginner level class, you will learn how to adjust the pattern of a fishtail skirt or dress (your choice) to your measurements, place and cut the pattern out of fabric correctly, fit the garment on yourself and finally, make your fishtail fantasy come to life!
Class schedule:
- Adjusting the provided skirt or dress pattern to your measurements
- Correct placing and cutting the pattern out of fabric
- Checking the fit of the pattern on your body
- Sewing the final garment
- Personalised advise on your custom fishtail dress or skirt
Please bring the following tools: pattern paper (or large sheets of paper that the pattern can be traced onto), scissors, pencil, needles and thread, measuring tape, any materials you want to make your skirt or dress with, a sewing machine.

About the Classes: Stitch it like a Queen is a series of classes tailored specifically to the needs of drag and burlesque artists and performers. The classes serve as an introductory course where you will learn making stunning outfits for stage performances, editorial photo projects, and other shenanigans. The classes aim to teach practical skills of design and construction to custom measurements, and broader comprehension of design process and translating ideas into garments. Future sessions will include a variety of fun themed masterclasses, such as making a catsuit, a 1960s style mini dress, kawaii Lolita outfits, shift dresses and much more.
