Everything Poetry Night: Monday 4th May
Come and join us at the Oystercatcher in Greenwich for an evening of poetry.
Doors open at 6pm for a 7pm start - come anytime from 6. Open mic names are picked at random from a hat and you can sign up by putting your name in on the night. Open mic slots are 5 minutes long.
Our headliner this month is the superb Rupinder Kaur Waraich! Rupinder Kaur Waraich (she/her) is a multidisciplinary artist based in Birmingham working across poetry, writing and performance. Her practice often explores the linguistic intersections of the body, history, sexuality through a feminine narrative and gaze.
Her debut poetry collection, Rooh (2018), was published by Verve Poetry Press, followed by Tigress with Wings (February 2026) with Seren Books. Her poems and essays have appeared in a range of journals and magazines, including Wasafiri, 14 Poems, Routledge India and Poetry Wales. At the core of her practice is an ongoing exploration of the artistic self as both vessel and reclamation shaped by curiosity and dedication.
