Hey Theatre Fam,
For our next Theatre Club outing, we’re heading to Sadler’s Wells East to see BULLYACHE’s A Good Man is Hard to Find on Saturday 9 May at 2pm, matinee show.
BULLYACHE are one of the UK’s most exciting queer multidisciplinary arts companies: contemporary dance sits at the core of their practice, but their world also pulls in drag, music, vocals, theatre and club culture. Basically, expect something physical, theatrical, strange, sharp and fully alive.

The show is a dark, chaotic takedown of the super-rich: the rituals, fantasies and power games that allow elites to behave as if the world belongs to them. Inspired by the 2008 financial crash and the bizarre “Cremation of Care” ceremony at Bohemian Grove — where some of the world’s most powerful men symbolically banish their guilt — A Good Man is Hard to Find taps straight into our current rage around inequality, austerity, cultural exploitation and the tech-billionaire class treating society like their private playground.
Through five dancers, the show exposes masculinity at its most grotesque: men trapped somewhere between gods, CEOs and teenage boys, performing power through humiliation, aggression and sacrifice.
Think: office party at the end of the world meets Greek tragedy.

The show is already sold out, but our Theatre Club has a special limited allocation of tickets for just £9 (instead of £35), plus a £1 transaction fee.
You can also add a small donation at checkout if you’d like to support the project and the work behind it. That would be really appreciated 💖
‼️Limited tickets are available with this special offer. First come, first served — so book ASAP to avoid disappointment ‼️
You’ll book here, and then I’ll send you the details of the meet-up point. You’ll collect your ticket on the day.
And as always, Theatre Club is not about being an expert, knowing the “right” thing to say, or arriving with a polished opinion. It’s about meeting people, making new friends, and experiencing theatre and dance together in an informal, friendly, completely unpretentious way.
Come for the show, stay for a chat after if you fancy. Everyone is welcome.
Can't wait to see you there!
