Join us for a participatory discussion about what pride is and what purpose does it serve through an environmental lens.
Following on from last year's panel Protests, parades and pinkwashing: the politics of Pride, past and present and future - this year we'll continue our interrogation of what is pride and purpose does it serve by exploring it through an environmental lens.
We'll be exploring questions such as:
Why climate justice is relevant to queer liberation
How does queer culture and the fossil fuel industry interact?
What role does the power of organising within communities hold?
Join Rea Cris from Porty Pride and J from Fossil Free Pride for a fishbowl conversation on these questions and more.
Fishbowl conversations are a more participatory discussion format for larger groups.
Spaces are limited so please book to avoid disappointment.
Mask wearing is supported and encouraged (and will not be challenged) and we will have masks available for anyone to use. We support anyone wishing to be seated at a safe distance during an event, please just ask.
This is an indoor event.
