🏳️⚧️🏳️🌈Saturday 8 August | 10am-5pm | Free entry🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️
A full day of grassroots Pride: completely free, community-led, and corporate-free. Join us for a joyful and powerful celebration of LGBTQIA+ life, love, protest, and pride across Margate.
As we celebrate ten years of Margate Pride, we’re still finalising the full programme (which we can’t wait to share), but here’s what you can expect so far:
We’ll kick things off with our early morning family event at Walpole Bay Lawns [10am–1pm], followed by our March through town and along the seafront [1–2pm]. We’ll then head to Dreamland for our daytime party and rally on the Scenic Stage [2–5pm], featuring DJs, live music, speeches, and the iconic Mx Margate.

This is also where the Pride March sets off at 1pm sharp - so come down early and make a day of it.

Code of Conduct
All attendees, volunteers, partners, suppliers, and participants must adhere to Margate Pride CIC’s Code of Conduct. We ask this to ensure the safety, inclusion, and wellbeing of the LGBTQIA+ community — making Margate and beyond a safer and more joyful place.
For Parade Groups and Stallholders
- The Code of Conduct applies to everyone in your group or at your stall.
- You are collectively responsible for the behaviour of your group.
- Failure to comply may result in being asked to leave and could affect future participation.
For Spectators and Attendees
- Abuse or threatening behaviour of any kind will not be tolerated at any Margate Pride event.
- If you have concerns on the day, please speak to one of our trained stewards, who are positioned along the parade route and in key event areas to provide support.
Read our full Code of Conduct HERE.
How businesses can get involved
As we’re only inviting community groups to our pride, there will be no corporate or local business presence.
We deeply value your support, and there are still plenty of ways for businesses to get involved: from donating to Margate Pride, running a Pride promo, booking training from Margate Pride, or volunteering staff for the many roles that help make Pride the safe, celebratory festival our community deserves.
We also encourage businesses to sign up to our Friends of Margate Pride scheme, and to review our Code of Conduct and Values - showing your commitment to the LGBTQIA+ community, and helping make Margate and beyond a safer, better place for all.
