Fen is Evie Hilyer-Ziegler on violin, Francis Devine on modular synth/live electronics, and Emma Barnaby on cello. Together they make folk-inflected chamber music shaped by improvisation and the meeting of acoustic and electronic sound. Bor was mostly recorded in a small shed in Suffolk and was born out of 6 years of improvisational conversation and artistic collaboration - the name comes from an East Anglian word for friend. This performance will be a meeting of the record, and the same creative exploration from where it emerged.
Curbside Lambsear is Annabelle Mödlinger (the Umlauts) and Magdalena McLean (caroline), combining pop, folk, and improvisation with influences of drone, dub, and post-punk.
Niandra (Aga Ujma) likes to play piano and tape recorders with the sounds she collects at her local cemetery.
Max Winter (DJ) will be reverently escorting your ears between sets, and seeing us to the end of the evening.
