Join us for an evening of conversation, community and reflection as we explore LGBTQIA+ experiences across generations.

This panel event will bring together speakers from different generations to discuss how LGBTQIA+ identities, experiences and challenges have evolved over time, while also exploring how intersections such as race, gender, disability and socio-economic background can shape experiences differently across communities and generations.

Inspired by this year’s Pride campaign, 'Many Voices. One Front.’, the discussion will create space for honest and meaningful conversations around progress, visibility, joy, belonging, allyship and the future of LGBTQIA+ inclusion.

Alongside the panel discussion, we’ll also be joined by the owner of Rebel Rose Adornments, who will be showcasing and selling their products throughout the evening.

We hope this event will offer an engaging opportunity for attendees to connect, learn from diverse lived experiences and celebrate the richness and diversity of the LGBTQIA+ community together.

The Lineup

We are thrilled to introduce an incredible, multi-generational line-up of speakers for this panel discussion. Spanning different eras, backgrounds, and mediums, our panelists will guide us through a rich exploration of how LGBTQIA+ identities have evolved, and how crucial intersections like race, culture, and mental health shape our community's stories.

Meet the Panelists

Raga D’Silva
Author, TEDx speaker, creative activist, and founder of Older Queer Voices. Through podcasts, roundtables, festivals, and community storytelling, she amplifies the voices of older LGBTQIA+ people and builds connections across generations.
An Indian lesbian who came out later in life, Raga uses storytelling as a tool for social change, exploring the intersections of age, race, culture, identity, and belonging. Her work is driven by the belief that every story has the power to challenge assumptions, create understanding, and strengthen community. She is currently working on her second book, a short film and a story she wrote is being made in to an international film.
Dr Natacha Kennedy
Dr Natacha Kennedy knew she was a girl when she was around five years old. She has travelled widely during her life and went to school in Norway and lived in Denmark, Greece, France, Germany and Japan, and speaks a number of different languages. A former primary school teacher she is now an academic at Goldsmiths College. She researches and writes about organised transphobia and about trans children. She is also director of FGEN; Feminist Gender Equality Network, a worldwide network of intersectional feminist scholars which she helped establish in 2022.
Josh & Faris (Co-Hosts of the 'Avoiding My Anxiously Attached Boyfriend' podcast)

Representing the "Next" wave of cultural dialogue, Josh and Faris join the panel as the dynamic co-hosts of the hit podcast Avoiding My Anxiously Attached Boyfriend. Through the lens of modern media, they bring a vital contemporary perspective to the stage. Their work masterfully unpacks the intersections of LGBTQIA+ relationships, mental health, and modern identity, offering a raw, witty, and deeply relevant look at the unique challenges and triumphs facing the younger generation of the queer community today.

Join us as these distinct voices come together to share their stories, challenge perspectives, and help us chart the path forward for LGBTQIA+ advocacy across generations.
