Come join us at The Front Room for a night of community and poetic exchange.
Whether you're a seasoned poet or just trying it out for the first time, our Poetry Open Mic is a warm inclusive place to share your creativity. Grab a cup of coffee, or wine, step up to the mic, and let your words flow. Open mic sign ups start at 6:30pm.
This month our featured poets are William Wyld and Hetty Cliss.
William Wyld is a poet and visual artist from London. They are the author of The Butterfly Bush (Little Betty Press 2026) and have been highly commended in the Forward Prizes, the Creative Futures Awards, the Bridport Prize and placed third in The Moth Nature Writing Prize. William is a member of Wild Thing eco-poetry collective, a Southbank Centre New Poets Collective alum and a Poetry Archive Now winner. Their paintings have been exhibited at the Royal Academy Summer Show and Discerning Eye.
Hetty Cliss is a poet and facilitator from the Cambridgeshire Fens and a graduate of the University of East Anglia’s Creative Writing MA. Her debut pamphlet (In)Habit is published by fourteen poems and her work can also be found in Banshee, And Other Poems, Propel, and Bi+ Lines. In 2024, she was the winner of the Ware Sonnet Prize.
