Join The Queer Domino Project at QUEERCIRCLE on Sunday 21 June 2026, 3–6pm, for an afternoon of dominoes, games, shared food and conversation on the eve of Windrush Day.
Queer(ibbean) Domino Project centres queer Caribbean histories, legacies and culture at a time when our safety, stories and futures are not being prioritised, we’re gathering queer cousins of all backgrounds for a celebration and a reckoning through play, food, memory and honest conversation.
The event also marks the launch of The Domino Effect, our peer-led research project documenting queer Caribbean life, culture and community needs in London.
Windrush Day was introduced in 2018 following a grassroots campaign to acknowledge the Caribbean migrants who helped build Britain after the Second World War, and as a direct response to the systemic harm of the Windrush Scandal. But too often, official commemoration lingers on the boat and misses the point: sailing past live conversations about reparations, decolonisation, and the queer histories that have always been here.
This is a free community gathering with food to share. Tickets are compulsory and be sure to send your dietary and allergy requirements. Come hungry, come curious.
The Queer(ibbean) Domino Project is a community event series founded in south London by Bare Radicals, using the power of dominoes to build an intergenerational community for queer people and allies of Caribbean heritage.
