Join us for Baobab: IRL ✨🌱💓
This Pride Month, we’ll be running a creative workshop for LGBTQIA+ people who have had abortions. Together we will craft and create, whilst sharing our abortion stories and meeting other people who have navigated abortions whilst also being queer.
For too long, LGBTQIA+ experiences have been sidelined and extracted in ways that don’t centre us and our stories. We want to challenge this and explore the expansiveness of abortion experiences in community with LGBTQIA+ people.
We hope to :
- Continue the age-old tradition of gathering, telling stories and connecting with one another.
- Get creative! Craft, draw and doodle as we discuss our personal and communal abortion stories. We'll be making zines and posters!
- Share the personal and speak on the political about abortion.
All supplies will be provided. Tickets are free. Snacks are guaranteed.
Please note this space is only for LGBTQIA+ people who have experienced abortion.
