Gloria has decided to gather some of the finest of queer performers for yet another fundraising cabaret for a monumental step in her journey:
Gloria will take her first dose of hormones on stage as part of the final performance in order to celebrate the joy of being openly and fully yourself!
Joining forces with Gloria are some of her favourite queerdos, in alphabetical order:
Ann Phetamin !
Ferris Has Bad Hair !
Frans !
Medea !
Pink Pound !
Tom Harlow !
Transhausen by Proxy !
Supported by the wonderful LuckyBabe on DJ duty !
ACCESSIBILITY
The event itself will be a fundraiser and in order to make it as accessible as possible, it is being held at Ivory Blacks, which is fully wheelchair-accessible and a short distance from Glasgow Central.
Tickets will be offered in four different categories, in order to maximise the funds being raised, please choose the category that gives the most. It is up to you to decide which one this is and no one will criticise you. If even the lowest tier is inaccessible to you, please contact Gloria via Instagram @gloriajustgloria to get one of the limited solidarity tickets. People dealing with the asylum system will be prioritised. Some tickets may be available on the door, cash payments preferred. If you want to contribute but cannot be there on the day (or simply if you're loaded), feel free to purchase solidarity tickets to help offset the cost of people accessing the event for free. Solidarity forever!
Sadly Gloria has been unable to secure a BSL interpreter, but all performances will be subtitled. Gloria is very unhappy about this but due to the limited funds, it has not been possible. If you are an interpreter that would like to help or know one that might, please make yourself known!
PLEASE ONLY BOOK AN ADDITIONAL “SEATED”TICKET IF YOU REQUIRE A CHAIR DURING THE PERFORMANCES.
Funds raised will be distributed between
-Medical Aid for Palestinians, who provide much needed healthcare support for people in the West Bank and Gaza
-Trans Harm Reduction Glasgow, who support Trans people using a DIY approach to HRT due to long waiting lists in the NHS and the tremendous cost of private healthcare, and
-the Glasgow Electrolysis Project, a hair removal service run by Trans people for Trans people at an accessible cost level
A raffle will also be held, for which Gloria has already successfully emotionally blackmailed generous Glasgow and Scottish businesses into providing amazing prizes! If you're reading this and would love to donate a prize, get in touch!
Full prizes will be revealed on her Instagram closer to the event but safe to say that Gloria is raging that she cannot take part herself!
Just like with Gloria's last fundraiser, full receipts will be provided afterwards (check the Fundraiser Highlight on her Instagram)
Safe to say that this event will be one for the books and give everyone some much needed respite from the hostile world out there. Come along and witness these legendary lagomorphs help Gloria to begin her path towards getting the ears she deserves💖🐇
