SPILLLL is a collective of 4 queer ESEA women creating zines and events, serving salads of feminism, queerness, food politics, and marginalised narratives.
Celebrating the launch of the fourth zine in our series, SPILLLL is hosting an evening where you can enjoy it all:
⭐️Mapping workshop on migrating identities
👩🏻🎨Artists talk on zine 4 and the process of co-creating
🍜Snacks: Crisps with an ESEA kick
🍹Drinks: a bar with curated ESEA drinks
👯Mingling to make connection
The SPILLLL zine series brings shared recipes and topics sprawled from chit-chats on the dining table:
Vol. 1: Feminist and queer histories, served with a potluck dinner
Vol. 2: Gender binaries and ESEA languages, served with dumplings
Vol. 3: BL/GL and women, served with instant noodles
And the newest zine, Vol. 4 reminisces the artist's first trip to the Isle of Skye, where they bonded over local and home recipes, while expanding the conversation to food memories, migrations, and how these things have shaped identities profoundly.
Join us as we make noise, share stories, eat, and celebrate in a packed night out at the New Dalston Common Press venue!
27 June , Saturday 19:00 - 21:00
The Common Press Dalston: 97 Stoke Newington Road, London, N16 8BX
