MANLAND is a night of performance, comedy, and music - featuring some of London's most exciting (gender diverse) talents ready to share their perspectives on men and masculinity: the good, the bad, and the mucky.
Your burly hosts, medium-sized guy Jesse Lou Lawson and pillow princess Willy Amott, are here to guide you into MANLAND. Genius house musician Femi Oriogun-Williams will accompany the night.
The show's not just for blokes and geezers, but also for those who forgive them, condemn them, ignore them or adore them. Come one, and come all!
Expect the air to be eau d'motor oil. The pints Guinness 0%. The banter repetitious.
There will also be an ethical horse-race* (no real horses) for those who fancy a flutter on the night, with prizes donated by local businesses. It's this show's version of bingo. 50% of proceeds will go towards anti-raids networks.
MANLAND is intended as a regular performance platform for artists to make and share work around their relationships to gender, sex, culture, the patriarchy and other such old news, and for people to collect and connect and have a laugh over the work. This is its debut. The next show is in early 2027.
