Join us on July 18th for a live-art performance responding to Crossings - a new contemporary art display on migration at the Queen’s House, Royal Museums Greenwich.
Produced by Bold Mellon Collective and created in collaboration with HEAVADNY, Chen Xu, Oscar Rodriguez and Emilia Nurmukhamet, the work brings together sonic traces of home, with poetic expressions of collective action, and movement that expands from kinesthetic memory to seek new connections. This new work-in-progress performance presents an embodied archive of migration and home-making, considering belonging as shaped through shared encounter, felt resonance and recognition.
Performance schedule:
12:30 pm
2:00 pm
Following the 2pm performance, stay for a post-show Q&A with the artists, alongside community members and advocates working across migration, refugee rights, and LGBTQIA+ inclusion, unpacking queer migration from present-day challenges facing LGBTQIA+ migrants, to the role of creative collective action in building more inclusive futures.
Access: The 2:00 pm performance and Q&A will be BSL interpreted.
All events are relaxed, with sensory toys and earplugs available.
