Hey Theatre Fam,
For our next Theatre Club outing, we’re heading to Stratford East to see BLUE MIST on 11 July at 7.30pm (we usually start gathering at 7pm).
ABOUT THE SHOW:
A brilliant play by Mohamed-Zain Dada that exposes the institutional trap of a media machine that loves to consume marginalized stories, but only when they’re drenched in trauma and stereotypes.
The story follows Jihad, an aspiring British Pakistani journalist trying to document the unfiltered joy and brotherhood of his local shisha lounge. However, when a powerful producer weaponizes the concept of "authenticity" to force a reactionary, demonizing narrative about Muslim men, Jihad faces a brutal moral choice.
It’s a hilarious, surreal, and biting critique of a capitalist industry that profits from fear while demanding we sell out our own communities.

The show is almost sold out but our Theatre Club has a special limited allocation of tickets for £15 (instead of £40), plus a small transaction fee. Top quality seats as always.
You can also add a small donation at checkout if you’d like to support the project and the work behind it. That would be really appreciated 💖
‼️Limited tickets are available with this special offer. First come, first served — so book ASAP to avoid disappointment ‼️
You’ll book here, and then I’ll send you the details of the meet-up point. You’ll collect your ticket on the day. Tickets are non-refundable.
And as always, Theatre Club is not about being an expert, knowing the “right” thing to say, or arriving with a polished opinion. It’s about meeting people, making new friends, and experiencing theatre and dance together in an informal, friendly, completely unpretentious way.
Come for the show, stay for a chat after if you fancy. Everyone is welcome.
Can't wait to see you there!
