About the event
Slow down, stretch out and find your flow.
As part of Wembley Park Pride Week, West London Queer Project are hosting a free Yin Yoga session for the LGBTQ+ community, allies and anyone looking to move, breathe and relax in good company. Whether you're a regular yogi or stepping onto the mat for the first time, this welcoming session is open to all.
We'll be gathering in Elvin Gardens, the vibrant heart of Wembley Park. Surrounded by public art, independent food and drink spots, and a diverse community from around the world, it's the perfect setting to pause, reconnect and enjoy an hour of movement and mindfulness together.
The session will be led by Roberto, who many of you may already know from WLQP's weekly yoga classes. Roberto will guide you through a gentle Yin Yoga practice designed to help you release tension, improve flexibility and cultivate a sense of balance and wellbeing.
Yin Yoga focuses on slower movements and longer-held postures, giving you time to settle into each stretch and reconnect with your body. It's a restorative practice that encourages relaxation, mindfulness and self-care, making it suitable for all experience levels.
What to expect:
- A warm welcome and beginner-friendly guidance
- Gentle stretches and longer-held Yin Yoga poses
- Time to relax, unwind and focus on your wellbeing
- A friendly and inclusive atmosphere
- All abilities, identities and experience levels welcome
What to wear & bring:
- Comfortable, breathable clothing that allows you to move and stretch easily
- An extra layer to keep warm during relaxation
- A water bottle
- A yoga mat if you have one
We have a very limited number of yoga mats available to borrow on the day. If you need to reserve one, please email us at info@wlqp.org in advance.
Take a break from the bustle of the city, enjoy a moment of calm beneath the iconic Wembley arch and celebrate Pride Week through movement, mindfulness and community.
