hello! and welcome to the ScrapShop :)
in this very special extended edition of the MQ Scrapbooking and zine-making workshop, we are focusing our efforts toward fundraising for Lex's top surgery! The proceeds we raise from this session will entirely go toward Lex's surgery and the support they need through recovery.
We will be making a mess on Dalston Superstore's tables for the longer time of 5 - 10pm on the 6th October - all with the vibes being set by favourite DJs of ours.
Find out more about Lex and the journey they're on, here. You may have met them as one of the facilitators of our scrapbooking workshops, or as one of the artists behind the beautiful lino-printed art of ManosQueer.
Our workshops are usually free to attend, but this time, we are asking for a minimum donation of £2. Please do contribute whatever is within your means!
We will then provide all resources required for engaging in this workshop. If cost is still a barrier to you, please do get in contact.
What You Need To Know !
come and join us for a Scrapbooking, Zine-Making & Collage workshop - a cosy and casual corner to make messy art.
the offer is to bring a notebook with you if you would like to, or we can show you how to make 6-page mini zine, or you can freestyle and make whatever you like!
we'll provide an abundance of scraps, Good Bits, stickers, tapes, and resources of all kinds for you to tear up, stick in, and cobble together as you please - including the GORGEOUS Superstore event posters from the month before.
whether it’s a poster, scrapbook, collage, zine, or just to hang out and have a chat, we'll be there to guide you through the evening.
we also have unique ScrapPacks available buy full of original ManosQueer art and stickers to repurpose and make something new with. we'll have our stall there too to get some bits from if you'd like!
we'll provide scissors and glue sticks etc - but you're welcome to bring your own, and any of your own bits and pieces to scrap with too.
whether you consider yourself “good at art” or not, do not worry, this space is open to all levels, with no pressure or expectations - the only aim is to make a colourful mess and let your mind wander and your hands make for a few hours
this space is open to all levels and focused for trans+ and queer folks to come together and craft.

Find us at the front of the venue from 5pm - 10pm, you're welcome to drop in any time, stay for a bit or stay for all of it, it's completely up to you
We'll have the ManosQueer art stall available for your perusal
and some gorgeous DJs commanding the decks <3

This event is TICKETED.
you can choose from:

- Paid Ticket Tiers - each of these come with a lil ScrapPack for you to take away with you! packed full of bits and MQ goodies

Access
there is a small step up to the entrance - a ramp is available on request.
there is level-access to a toilet which does NOT have space for a wheelchair. more toilets are available down a narrow spiral staircase.
there WILL be a DJ during the workshop, but we will keep a view to assessing noise levels to prevent overwhelm
there will be coloured roaming lights throughout the venue
if anything is bothering you once you arrive (lights, music volume, etc) - let us know and we can change it !
this is not an exclusive event, so the bar will have regular customers in the rest of the space, and alcohol will be being served
