We'll give you the info to cut through the red tape, and then we'll cut it with you in an admin body-doubling session. By the end of the workshop you'll know how to change - or will have changed - your:
- Legal name (by Deed Poll)
- Name and gender on your driver's licence
- Name and sex marker on your passport
- Name, gender and/or sex marker with the NHS
- Name and gender with other services: bank, utilities, employer, HMRC, etc.
The session is split into two halves:
1pm-2pm - TRAIN 🥊 (break halfway)
The Dyke Project’s team of coaches give you the low-down on name / gender change in all forms, so you can skip the research and get straight to the ring. Handouts will be available to take home.
If you already know what you need, feel free to skip this portion and arrive at 2pm.
2-3pm - FIGHT 💥
Make use of the space, the resources, and The Dyke Project team to attack whatever admin is top of your list. We will have printers / scanners, pens, forms and envelopes. We can give you what you need and leave you to it, or assist you through the process. And we will answer your questions to the best of our ability.
