Callaghan’s Questions
'Professionally overqualified person' S D Callaghan has honours degrees in Sciences, Psychology, Fine Arts, Film and Education. Callaghan is the Head of Development, one of the Head Writers and the Executive Producer at BAFTA award winning independent film company Gothic Manor as well as a performer with multi-award winning Panad Productions (an entirely queer, female and disabled team).
Callaghan is also a multi-subject specialist educator focused on implementing intersectional, decolonized curriculum in India, Canada and the UK.
As a performer, Callaghan has sold out shows and rave reviews at the Brighton, Camden, Lambeth and Edinburgh Fringe Festivals and the Soho Theatre with dramatic, comedic, drag and burlesque performances. Both their stage and film work is satirical and boundary pushing, asking difficult questions and exploring taboo topics with wit, wickedly funny social commentary and just the right amount of earnestness.
All of Callaghan's work has compelling, unexpected twists and aims to subvert common tropes while exploring the often overlooked stories of those who have, like Callaghan does, multiple marginalized identities.
Indy Nile
Indy Nile (pronounced like his favourite stage of grief) is a transsexual DILF clown and your mum finds him delightful. Indy has performed all over London and the UK, including at the Clapham Grand, The Garrick Theatre, Brighton Fringe, and Underbelly. He has also brought his award nominated solo show, ‘He/He/He’ to Soho Theatre. If you’re lucky, read you his hit poem ‘Semi Skimmed Milk (The Milk is a Metaphor)’
Turnip Tadger and Elijah Scott Wood
Turnip Tadger and Elijah Scott Wood are double the fun, double the trouble and double the entendre! They’re a t4t drag duo who exist to turn all of your (mums) favourite films into steamy bromantic fanfics.
Mister Llaneous
Your next performer doesn’t fit in a box, and frankly, never wanted to.
Mister Llaneous is a multidisciplinary force working across drag, comedy, film, animation and live performance. Born from the refusal to sit neatly inside a single discipline, or a single identity, Mister Llaneous lives in the in-between, between genders, between expectations.
Tonight, they won’t just be performing for you. They’ll be conducting a séance with you, an excerpt from their new show The Skin Show.
So get your phones ready. You’ll need them.
India Martin
India is a clown, designer and artist from the East Midlands that was once told by her clown teacher she “does everything with her legs”. She draws on multiple performance styles to create absurd, silly and visually exciting work (to her anyway). She is a company member of international climate puppetry project THE HERDS, does comedy with her friend Anisa, and was once, briefly, a cheesemonger.
Dandy Liar
Dandy Liar is a drag artist hailing from East London and the deviant world of antique hedonism. Out of drag, he is a Shakespearean actor, mediocre barista, and devastatingly iconic loverboy. Follow him on Instagram (@mairavandiver) for perversion and general inspiration.
Georgia Malkin
Georgia Malkin is an upcoming actor and musical theatre performer. They recently performed in Bindweed at the West End's Ambassador's Theatre, having previously appeared in the Trans Academy there with THE Finn Harkin. She has a Master's in Musical Theatre from Trinity Laban.
