Jam Time is an open music jam where musicians and singers can turn up and play songs together.
It is centred around a fusion of modern music styles and folk songs from different places in the world. For example, at the last one we played around West African Kora songs (see embedded song), along with singers, synth bass, organ, kalimba, percussion and more!
It’s a complete mix of abilities, all welcome. It’s a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, there is no pressure to play or match other people's ability, you can just exist as you are.
It is run by @lilywo_music and I am really open to suggestions or ideas, so if you have something musical or creative you are looking for a space to share, please feel free to message me!
It is queer and trans run, the event is for LGBTQ+ and allies only 🏳️⚧️🏳️🌈
Please note that the main venue is accessible, however there are unfortunately no accessible toilets.
