Join us at Earthseed Community Garden for our community building project! We will be building a shelter on our allotment site every Saturday throughout August until we're complete.
The shelter will include space to sit and congregate, a structure to grow climbing plants, a green roof, and a bug hotel.
Building the shelter will involve using some power tools, and at times some heavier machinery. If you've never used these before—or simply don't feel confident—please don't let that put you off!
There will be plenty of ways to get involved, from measuring and marking out, to holding materials, preparing the site, making tea, and supporting the build in other ways. Whether you're keen to learn new skills or just want to lend a hand, there's a place for everyone.
Please note on Saturday 22nd August, we will be gardening not building due to facilitator absence.

Our launch event is on Saturday 8th August - co-hosted with the Waltham Forest Food Growers Network. Here we'll start the build and discussions around setting up a GM/BPOC Growers Network in the borough.
We will also provide a vegan lunch made by the Gleaners Cooperative.
Please register your interest here to attend!

ABOUT
Earthseed Community Garden is a community growing space for people and plants in Waltham Forest, organised and led by queer black and global majority heritage folks. The garden is a place for healing and connection to land, our ancestry, each other, and building community and resilience in these times of unrest.
