Movement, Memory & Story with Kemono L.Riot
Join multidisciplinary artist Kemono L.Riot for a practical workshop exploring how movement can be used to tell personal and collective stories. Drawing from hip-hop dance theatre, improvisation and creative tasks, artists will explore memory, everyday experiences and storytelling as tools for performance-making.
This workshop forms part of the research and development process for Last Bus Home, a new dance theatre work currently in development through the Rosina Bonsu Bursary award, supported by The Work Room & Project X.
Aimed at: Professional dancers, dance artists and movement practitioners who are curious about storytelling through movement. Previous experience in hip-hop or street dance is helpful but not essential. Participants should be comfortable improvising and collaborating with others.
