The iconic Manchester Village Pride Parade returns on Saturday, 29 August 2026. The parade will wind through the city, starting at the Castlefield bowl and finishing in the Village – the birthplace of Pride in Manchester over forty years ago.
OFFICIAL Theme: No Place Like Home
This year’s theme, inspired by The Wizard of Oz, celebrates homecoming and Manchester’s reputation as a welcoming, safe space for the LGBTQ+ community. Expect vibrant displays honouring the city and its diverse residents.
CSK THEME: PINK PINK PINK
This year in the UK, trans voices have been squashed, under represented, and twisted to fit the toxic narrative that we are dangerous and immoral. It's sad but, There is no place like home for us in 2026, so we invite you to wear your loudest, brightest, biggest, Hot Pink outfit to march with us!
Come in Drag or come as you are!
The Parade attracts tens of thousands of visitors who all come out to show support for the LGBTIA+ Community. Many of these visitors are families including small children. As such, we require that any costumes are appropriate for all age groups and as the Parade takes place on the streets of Manchester which is a public area. With this in mind, there must be no lurid or obscene outfits or actions.Our big top tip for your parade outfit is make sure you have comfortable shoes on! Flags, props or banners must NOT be waved over the Metrolink crossover points.
Flags/stilt walkers MUST NOT be over 4.4m height and be able to keep up with the parade.
We encourage you to make and bring your own signs, placards etc but cannot allow speech ensiling violence or hate speech of any kind. Messaging must be inclusive, non-violent, and aligned with the Parade theme. No commercial advertising or third-party branding on floats or costumes, without written consent from the Manchester Village Pride team.
We will receive your on-the-day Parade Itinerary the week of the parade which we will communicate through Insta story posts and email. This will have our group’s arrival time and other on-the-day information.
