After our incredible launch event last year, Blackney Wick Film Club is excited to announce our 2nd edition and the start of our monthly residency at Algha’s Plantroom!
Get ready for controversial 70s sexiness with a screening based around Blaxploitation. Born in the wake of the Civil Rights Movement and Black Power, this era of film centres Black artists and makers having space to decide how their voices would be heard. Films to be revealed on the night!

Blackney Wick Film Club was born out of the need for sober space for our community to connect outside of the club. This is a POC oriented space, so allies please be mindful of this when in the space.
Tickets are on a sliding scale at £5 / £10 / £15 - please take a concession ticket only if you need it, and please take a pay it forward ticket if you are in a place of abundance. We appreciate all support as a grassroots queer venue <3
