Hello hello dykes of all kinds!
Join us for a session with the amazing Lauren (IG: @bishylauren) teaching basic shibari skills. Join us for this session, and you'll gain the skills needed to effectively partake in other Dyke Collective Shibari events. Note that we will have access to the venue between 5-7:30pm, so our session will run 5:15pm-6:45pm, then you'll have 30 minutes to practice what you've learned. We recommend coming at 5pm to find a spot, get settled, and take a little breather before we begin.
Bring your friend or partner - or get paired up with someone at the workshop. You do however, need tickets for each person attending.
Also bring your waterbottle, comfortable clothes (we recommend not too loose fitting for rope). We'll be in a dance studio with yoga mats, but if you're able to carry it, we encourage bringing a pillow to sit on, and even a blanket if you want a bit extra cosiness.
ACCESSIBILITY: Unfortunately this venue will not be wheelchair accessible. The venue is reached through two flights of stairs. We will share the venue name once we have confirmed the booking.
Note that the workshop is a space for dykes where a large part of our community are gender queer. Our space has no space for transphobia of any kind.
We're excited to host this session!
A bit about Lauren: Lauren has been rigging for over three years and has recently begun branching out into teaching beginners skills to the London rope community. She prioritizes personal connection, creativity and active collaboration in scenes with her models.
