GREEKS UNDER THE INFLUENCE
AN INTIMATE SCREENING OF GREEK QUEER SHORT FILMS
HOSTED BY A MAN TO PET
A curious, chaotic voyage through Greek queer cinema, this program traces the evolution of LGBTQ+ representation from the 1970s to today. From underground cult classics to bold contemporary voices, these short films have challenged norms, celebrated desire, and carved out space for queer love, rage, joy, resistance, and pleasure.
Together they map the shifting landscape of queer Greece—where identities are performed, reclaimed, hidden, celebrated, and endlessly reinvented. Equal parts political, poetic, camp, and horny, these films prove that queer cinema has always been one of the country's most radical acts of storytelling.
But this isn't your average screening.
Hosted by A Man to Pet—so expect seduction, surprises, and a healthy dose of mayhem—the evening transforms The Divine into a space where cinema, performance, cruising, and ritual blur into one deliciously queer experience.
Presented by The Queer Archive, the program continues its mission of preserving, activating, and recontextualising queer cultural histories that have been ignored, censored, or forgotten, bringing them back to life where they belong: in front of an audience ready to laugh, gasp, flirt, and celebrate.
Come for the films. Stay for the chaos.
Not for the faithful.
Ticketholders have free access to olliBANK HOLIDAY party which starts right after the screening on the ground floor!
