Trans Liberation Conference 2026
Are you a trans person living in Britain, or an ally in the fight for trans liberation? Join us in Manchester on the 7th and 8th of November for Trans Liberation Group’s first National Conference, where we’ll plot a path for the coming year of struggle against transphobia, misogyny, and capitalism in Britain.
This event is open to all, you do not have to be a member of TLG to attend and participate.
What is the Trans Liberation Conference?
The Trans Liberation Conference is an opportunity for all activists fighting for trans liberation to come together to discuss the biggest issues facing trans people today, share the work we have been doing, and plot a course for how we will progress the goal of trans liberation over the next year. It will also be an opportunity to connect trans activists from across the country, and across different organisations and campaigns.
Day 1 will be focused on the struggle so far: with discussions on the issues that we have been facing, and the work we have been doing to fight back. Day 2 will be focused on next steps: deciding what we will build over the next year, what goals we should set ourselves, and how we are going to make meaningful progress to win trans liberation.
Who can attend?
Everyone - whether you’re trans or cis, you’re welcome so long as you share our goal of a society where nobody’s oppressed for being who they are!

When is the TLG national Conference?
Our Conference will be held over two days:
Saturday 7th September - 10am-6pm
Sunday 8th September - 10am-4pm
Day 1:
- 10am - Registration
- 11am - Introductions, and a history of TLG
- 12pm - How do we secure trans healthcare?
- 1pm - Lunch
- 2pm - How do we resist the Supreme Court ruling?
- 3pm - How do we transform our unions for trans liberation?
- 4pm - How do we transform politics for trans liberation?
- 5pm - Day 1 wrap-up

Who are TLG?
Trans Liberation Group is a national trans-led socialist democratic organisation.
We believe that it's urgent not just to fight back against the current attacks on trans rights, but also to win true trans liberation - not only an end to discrimination against trans people because of their identity, but also an end to all other forms of oppression that effect trans people disproportionately, whether that be the dismantling of public healthcare, which particularly impacts trans kids and trans people unable to afford private healthcare, or the lack of good well-paid jobs or quality affordable housing, which particularly impact trans people who are likely to face both employment and housing discrimination.
We aim to do this by building co-ordinated and consistent national organising for trans liberation, by developing our members into socialist organisers, intervening in trade unions and political parties to secure material support, and working with existing trans liberation organisations and activists.
How much are tickets?
Tickets are tiered based on what you can afford (either £10, £20, or £30). We don't want cost to be a barrier to entry, so if you cannot afford the cheapest ticket tier, please get in touch with us.
