Fancy a coffee and the opportunity to connect with new friends from the LGBTQ+ community at a free event?
Pride can be an isolating experience for some members of the community. From those that are sober to people that are new to the city, it can be difficult to meet new people. That's why we are hosting a FREE event for Manchester Village Pride for people to connect with the community over a coffee or soft drink. This event will be 18+ though we welcome people from across the LGBTQ+ community. If you are nervous about attending or unsure, please send us an email (twistedeventsuk@hotmail.com). We will do our best to ensure you have a lovely experience with other like-minded people in the community.
The event will kick off at 11.30am for a coffee session and chat. Stickers and markers will be provided so you can write your name and preferred pronouns. Depending on the number of attendees, we will host a speed friending session from 11.50am. You will have the opportunity to meet different attendees over a five-minute chat before a bell sounds and you will be matched with a different attendee. If you are uncomfortable with the idea of speed friending, you are welcome to sit this part out and chat to other attendees at the end of the speed-friending session.
Please note that while we would hope that this is a sober event, Tangerine sell alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. We hope that by making the event free that attendees are able to support the business that are kindly donating their space by purchasing a soft drink or hot drink (the oat milk latte is divine!).
This is a free event though if you would like to make a donation, you can donate to the following charities:
