GATHERING FOR PROFESSOR JASON ARDAY
On the 23rd of August we will be holding a space for communal grief in light of the tragic death of Professor Jason Arday. Although we did not know him personally, we, like many of us, are feeling the pain of this great loss of such an extraordinary human being.
We understand how the violence of dehumanisation, anti blackness, ableism and hyper surveillance are unfortunately experiences that most Black people have endured in one shape or form. We want this to be a space to express and connect through this tremendous grief.
Hosted @thecommonpress Dalston, a space which champions Black writers and community.This is a low pressure space to connect with yourself and/or others. To feel the spectrum of complex emotions that may be present in your mind and body.
This gathering is open to all, however if you are not of the Black demographic, please be aware of how you take up & share space <3
