Have you and your friends discussed what your settling down plan is? With rising costs and lower pay, ownership over our future homes feels further away than ever. We can’t give up but we can get creative.

A 2001 Grand Designs episode gave people the opportunity to earn equity of their home through their labour. Such schemes are all but non-existent today, but could this past model be the seed of a future solution?

Come down to The Common Press (Dalston) on Sunday 6th September to watch the episode and take part in a workshop that plans what future street you and that friend would want to build. Maybe you’ll find another pair who have a similar goal to you…
