Parenting can come with questions at every stage. When LGBTQ+ identity becomes part of the conversation, those questions can sometimes feel even more complicated.
Whether you are a queer parent navigating your own family journey, or a straight parent supporting an LGBTQ+ child or teenager, this workshop is a space to ask questions, share experiences and have honest conversations with other parents.
Rather than following a fixed topic, we want the workshop to respond to the people attending. Before the event, every participant will receive a short survey where you can anonymously share the topics, questions or situations you would like to discuss.
This could include anything from communicating with your child or teenager, understanding LGBTQ+ identities, supporting your child through difficult experiences, navigating school or extended family, dealing with uncertainty as a parent, or simply finding your way through something you have not encountered before.
The survey will help us shape the workshop around the real questions and experiences of the attendees, making the conversation as relevant and useful as possible.
There is no expectation to have all the answers. This is a space for honest discussion, learning, listening and sharing different perspectives.
