Join us for a panel discussion exploring the rise in popularity of ENM in mainstream discourse.

In recent years, polyamory has gained recognition in popular culture, offering meaningful and fulfilling connections to many people who do not resonate with more traditional, binary relationship models. However, this type of relationship has also been reduced to a “fad” or trend in public discourse and is often the subject of much-misunderstood debate.(Love Multiplied: The Rise of Polyamory, 2024)

We have brought together authors and community organisers who are non-monogamous to openly discuss the rise of popularity of ENM in the mainstream and what role literature has played in it. They will share experiences, and collectively explore if ENM's rise in the mainstream can happen without being co-opted.

You will learn more about the literature available for learning more about non-monogamy in an accessible way. As well as dispelling many myths held in the mainstream about ENM in the Q&A that will follow the panel.

The panelists:

Lola Phoenix

Lola Phoenix has over a decade of experience as a freelance writer and speaker focusing on sexuality, gender, LGBTQ history, disability, relationships, nutrition, mental health and death positivity both in writing and speaking. Author of the notable books “The Anxious Person's Guide to Non-Monogamy” and “The Non-Monogamy Journal”, they will be signing copies of their books.

Ruby Rare

Ruby Rare (she/they) is an award-winning sex and relationships expert with a decade's experience redefining intimacy. She's the author of “Sex Ed: A Guide for Adults” and “The Non-Monogamy Playbook”, and is Feeld's official Intimacy Expert. In 2025, she worked with BPAS on a successful campaign for abortion reform in England and Wales.

She’s collaborated with brands including LADbible, Pasante, and LELO, and her work has been featured by The Guardian, Independent, Cosmopolitan, and on BBC Woman’s Hour. Ruby has also spoken at TEDxLondon and WOW Festival, and is celebrated as a trailblazer bringing nuance, curiosity, and joy to the conversations most people shy away from. A dual-heritage, queer, non-monogamous educator, Ruby goes where many practitioners won't, with a combination of professional expertise and lived experience that gives her work a rare warmth and credibility.

Danielle - @OpenlyCommitted

Danielle is a writer, creator, and the founder of OpenlyCommitted, where she explores non-monogamy in real life, not just in theory. Since opening her relationship in 2010, she has built a marriage, raised two children, and spent nearly 16 years navigating the messy, joyful, and sometimes complicated reality of loving more than one person at a time.

Since she began sharing her story publicly in 2022, Danielle has built a community of more than 300,000 people and spoken directly with hundreds of individuals and couples navigating non-monogamy themselves. Her work has been featured in The Cut, PEOPLE, The Telegraph, The Sunday Times, and Newsweek.

Ángel - @theboywithwings

Ángel is an Inclusion Specialist and the founder of Polystation(@polystation_IG) a community space dedicated to reimagining how we relate, care and belong through a queer-inclusive and polyamorous lens. He is also the Founder and Director of Asamper Inclusion, a coaching, consulting and training practice that helps organizations create inclusive, resilient and human-centered workplaces. With a background in sociology, queer studies, ontological coaching and creative writing, he brings a unique blend of critical thinking, playful creativity, and lived experience to his work in community and inclusion. A proud father of two, he coparents his children with his partner and two friends.

Honeycule LDN:

Amber is the founder of Honeycule LDN, a POC-led community and events space created exclusively for people of colour and centred around ethical non-monogamy. Having personally practised ENM for over five years, Amber created Honeycule after recognising a lack of spaces where people of colour could explore non-monogamy, build community and connect without feeling like an afterthought in mainstream spaces. Her work is centred on creating spaces that are culturally aware, inclusive and representative, while encouraging open conversations around consent, communication and the realities of navigating non-monogamous relationships.
Amber brings both lived experience and the perspective of a community organiser, with a particular interest in how race, culture and representation shape the way people of colour experience and understand non-monogamy.

Prince is a facilitator and organiser who is passionate about creating and nurturing spaces for people to show up as their authentic selves. He currently splits his time working as an event manager for London's first consciously queer intersectional bookshop (The Common Press) and building a creative ecosystem for Black people of African, Caribbean, Mixed and Indigenous heritage to expand our imagination towards collective liberation, using creativity (ATINUDA).
