Join Mosaic Works for an afternoon of discovery, connection, and history at the iconic London Transport Museum. We’re excited to invite you to "Platform Day," a unique event designed to bring young people together to explore careers in the transport sector, engage with LGBTQ+ history, and build valuable new skills.
Whether you’re interested in the future of transport, passionate about history, or just want to connect with a supportive community, this day is for you.
What to expect:
- Explore History: Get an exclusive look into queer transport history with a guided talk and Q&A by Museum Curator, Zoe Few.
- Network: Meet industry professionals, including representatives from Outbound—TfL’s dedicated LGBTQ+ colleague network group.
- Grow: Participate in a hands-on skills-building workshop designed to help you navigate your own career path.
- Connect: Enjoy an ice-breaker, meaningful discussions, and free time to explore the museum galleries at your own pace.
The Schedule:
13:30 – 14:00: Arrival, Welcome & Ice-breaker
14:00 – 14:30: Intro to TfL and the Transport Sector
14:30 – 15:00: Queer Transport History Talk & Q&A with Curator Zoe Few
15:00 – 15:15: Break
15:15 – 16:00: Meet the Experts: Networking with TfL staff & Outbound representatives
16:00 – 17:00: Skills-Building Workshop
17:00– 18:00: Self-led exploration of the Museum
Because it proves you've got the initiative, engagement, and reliability to show up on time, Mosaic members who participate will also get extra consideration for upcoming paid work experience placements through Mosaic.

❗❗❗ You must be a registered young person or young adult (15-25) member of Mosaic LGBT+ Young Persons' Trust to attend this event. Membership will be confirmed and tickets will be cancelled if you are not a registered member.
