Join Fringe! Queer Film and Arts Fest and artivist J Triangular for a collaborative film art workshop
Directly from Taiwan arrives J Triangular, the NB Prince and spiritual artivist brings legendary queer artivism workshops for collective care, radical imagination, and unruly self-expression to London for the first time
During this 3-hour collective session, we create experimental audiovisual fragments through DIY exercises in movement, writing, performance, and camera work.
Inspired by experimental pedagogies of the body, image, and language from the Global South, and by survival techniques developed by trans and non-binary people across Abya Yala (South America), we work collectively with accessible technologies, everyday materials, movement, fiction, and radical imagination. The body becomes a living archive, a territory of memory, resistance, defense, and care.
Together, we explore how expanded cinema and collective image-making can challenge dominant narratives and create space for stories, bodies, and imaginaries too often pushed to the margins. Drawing from Global South perspectives, human rights, spirituality, and embodied resistance, we use fiction as a political and affective force: a way to reclaim our images, transform experiences of structural violence, and imagine other ways of existing together.
No previous experience is needed—only curiosity and a willingness to experiment.
All the pieces become part of a collective short film: a living collage made from our bodies, voices, gestures, and visions, which will be edited by J after the festival.

Is a transmasculine, non-binary filmmaker, poet, curator, performer and spiritual artivist from Colombia, creating between Taiwan, Colombia and New York. Their fierce, collaborative practice builds queer and trans avant-garde collectives and film cooperatives across Taiwan, Japan, Vietnam, Thailand, Colombia, New York, and South Africa—creating spaces of experimentation where queer and trans lives become poetry and resistance.
