Palestine 36- a solidarity screening
Join us for a special screening of Annemarie Jacir's Oscar nominated, ‘Palestine 36’ at the Fellowship Inn. An epic tale of Palestinian struggle for freedom, the film focuses on the 1936 Palestinian Revolt against British rule and colonisation. It follows the solidarities and rifts formed between Palestinians in 1936, as the society found itself in the throes of British colonisation and the rising numbers of Jews fleeing European persecution. Join us as we reflect on these events leading up to the Nakbah in a Q&A after the film. As Palestinians continue to fight for their existence and homeland, we hope to come together once again to understand this history and how we continue to stand up for Palestine.
