đ Book Exchange & Sapphic Reading Afternoon đ
đNonna Said, Glasgow
đ
Sunday 20th September | 3-5pm
Weâre hosting a cosy book exchange and reading afternoon in a room just for us. Bring a book or a few (they don't have to be sapphic) youâre ready to pass on, and the book youâre currently reading. Once youâve swapped, you can settle in and read in each otherâs company, or chat about your favourite authors, characters, and plot twists.
Weâll have post-its available so you can leave little notes inside the books youâre exchanging. Share your thoughts on it, favourite quotes, what you loved or hated, or even your socials if youâd like to keep the conversation going with the person who picks it up.
The bar and restaurant will be open, and we encourage you to grab a drink and a bite while youâre there to support the venue! :)
Whether youâre trying to get back into reading or just want to meet other sapphics who love books, this is a relaxed, easy way to spend a Sunday afternoon.
The Sapphic Space is a Community Interest Company (CIC). That means any money made goes straight back into the community, either directly through events and artists, or by growing the space itself so sapphic connection and safe spaces can continue to thrive. If youâre able, you can also choose to add a donation at checkout. Thank you for supporting what weâre building.
(Please note: these events are aimed at women and non-binary people who love women.)
