Sometimes we carry far more than we realise.
Stress, emotion and tension can accumulate in the body—even when, from the outside, we appear to be holding everything together. Breathwork offers a way to pause, come out of your head and give your body some space.
This free taster session is an opportunity to experience guided breathwork in a small, supportive group. We’ll explore a few different ways of breathing before moving into a longer guided breathwork journey, accompanied by music.
For some people, breathwork brings a sense of calm and helps them feel more present in their body. For others, it can bring emotion, insight, energy or a feeling of release. There is no particular experience you are supposed to have, and you don’t need to arrive with a problem to solve.
You don’t need to analyse. You don’t need to explain. You don’t need to talk. Just breathe.
What will happen?
The session will include:
- A gentle introduction to breathwork and how the breath can affect our physical and emotional state
- Some simple breathing techniques to help you settle and connect with your body
- A guided breathwork journey with music
- Time afterwards to rest, return and reflect
Everything is invitational. You remain in control of your participation throughout and can slow down, change your breathing or stop whenever you need to.
Who is it for?
This session is suitable for complete beginners as well as people who have tried breathwork before and would like to experience it in a small group.
Consciously Kinky works particularly with LGBTQ+ people, people from kink and polyamorous communities, and anyone who wants a space where they do not have to edit or explain who they are. You do not need to identify with any of those communities to attend.
There are a maximum of six places.
What should I bring?
Please wear comfortable clothing and bring:
- Water
- A yoga mat or something comfortable to lie on
- A blanket, if you would like one
- An eye mask, if you have one
Full practical details, including the London venue, will be sent to everyone who books.
Important health information

Breathwork is not a replacement for medical treatment, psychotherapy or crisis support.
About the facilitator
Matthew is a qualified breathwork facilitator, coach and hypnotherapist. His work is practical, supportive and grounded in the belief that meaningful change does not always begin with talking. Sometimes it begins by giving the body enough space to breathe.
Booking
This is a free session, but places are strictly limited to six.
Please only book if you genuinely intend to attend. If your plans change, cancel your ticket as early as possible so that somebody else can take the place.
