LGBT+ Creative Writing Workshop: Autumn Leaves
A brand-new season of creative writing workshops for young LGBTQ+ writers, would-be LGBTQ+ writers, blocked LGBTQ+ writers, plus friends and allies. We've been running these now for nearly three years, and created a safe and welcoming space for participants. There is no such thing as failure here, only work-in-progress. Classes consist of a mixture of word games, collaborative writing improvisation, solo work and homework to mull over in the intervening week. There are opportunities to read what you have written to the class [if you want to], and get constructive encouragement and feedback both from other participants and from Steph and Peter, our experienced class leaders.
We concentrate on short-form fiction, known as flash fiction, because it doesn't tie you to extensive commitments; flash fiction helps you to hone your skills and appreciate the value of individual words, which can be useful if you want to go on to longer forms.
This is a series of 5 workshops to October 26th, held every Monday at a convenient central location.
