Join us for a Ceilidh to fundraise for Stitches in Time!
Scottish country dancing will be led by the fabulous Muckers!
No experience is necessary, as the caller will walk you through the steps.
Stitches in Time is a community arts and education charity working with the most marginalised and deprived communities in Tower Hamlets. For over 30 years we have delivered community-led projects and educational programmes in textiles and visual arts, helping to build an inclusive Tower Hamlets, using craft as a shared language and experience to build empathy between disparate communities.
We are a grass roots organisation with a reputation for creating real, tangible, personal and social impact. Working with women who have generally had little or no access to the arts, education or employment in the U.K. we facilitate fundamental change in their lives. Rooted in our local community with sewing programmes, employment via our social enterprise.
Funding to support our core programme of weekly activities is currently under threat. Not because our work has lost its value - the need for our services has never been more urgent. However, a shifting funding landscape has made it increasingly difficult to sustain our work. All profits from this event will go towards supporting our work.
The band, staff and the building have donated the space, their time and their tunes to support this fundraiser, we just need you to buy a ticket, share the event and come and dance the night away!
Some tickets will be available on the door from 7pm, but please book to guarantee entry.
