Mappping the author's journey from childhood abuse and the brutal reality of the trans experience in the UK, to joy, comfort, nostalgia and authentic self-love as life finally begins to blossom, Bird of Paradise is as moving as it is uplifting.
Whether you're a life-long fan of poetry, an LGBTQ+ activist, or anything in-between, we hope you'll join us as we celebrate the release of the first solo poetry collection by Caribbean/Indian writer, podcaster and activist Christina-Jae Angel. This will be a warm and welcoming evening of readings, conversation, celebration, and community.
