The London Kelpies are returning to weekend trainings for the winter season!
Our sessions are returning to spring hill recreation ground in Hackney (home to Hackney RFC) Saturday the 3rd October from 11:30-1, with a trip to the local pub post training to get to know each other!
Who are we?
The Kelpies are a rugby club founded in 2025 aiming to provide a space for trans players to access the sport outside of the RFU ban. The team is coached by a fully trans team, who are here to support you through any stage of your rugby journey, whether thats picking up a ball for the first time or returning to play after a break! These sessions are, and will always remain free!
Who is welcome?
This training camp is open to any trans or gender non-comforming people who are interested in learning how to play, or looking to join a trans centred team!
These sessions prioritise safety, and it is encouraged to take it at whatever pace you want.
What do you need?
Yourself!
But, make sure to wear sport appropriate shoes. If you own any rugby gear such as boots and gumshield, bring them along (but they are not necessary to participate!)
Changing facilities: we have access to a gender neutral changing space and toilet
