Cine Favela LGBTQIAPN+ it's a film festival by Dualto Productions that promotes artists from favelas and the outskirts of Brazil, with themes that involve the LGBTQIAP+ community (Lesbians, Gays, Bisexuals, Transgender/Transvestites, Queer, Intersex, Asexual, Pansexual and other identities), through a competitive film festival, training workshops, debates and an awards ceremony featuring the best of Rio’s dance scene.
✨Currently at their 4th Edition in Rio, now expanding to other territories, they are programming this special screening with Cine Brazil for Lesbian Visibility Day! 🌈✨
The films:
🎥Interioranas, by Rayanne Rodovalho Reis - A documentary exploring the experience of lesbian life in rural Brazil. The documentary stems from the need to create and preserve memories, giving a voice to the stories of lesbian women living in rural areas.
🎥How a River is Born, by Luma Flôres - Ayla wakes up in a mountainous landscape, surrounded only by vegetation and a river. Driven by
curiosity and a desire to get to know the place, she goes on a journey of discovery and diving. As she
discovers where she is, she also discovers herself.
🎥MÃES (Mothers), by Bruna Aguiar - the film presents stories of lesbian couples who decided to become mothers and sought unconventional methods of pregnancy or adoption.
