Join London-based Black trans artist, poet and performer Chloe Filani for a reflective circle drawing on oríkì and Yorùbá traditions of naming and honouring people across generations.
Through discussion, writing and shared creative practice, we’ll reflect on the names given to us, the names we choose and how we want to be known. With attention to queerness and transness, we’ll explore naming as a way of recognising ourselves and one another, connecting with ancestors and deciding what we want to pass on.
No previous writing experience is needed. This is a Black-only space, welcoming Black people across heritages, genders and sexualities
