Join us for our in-person monthly reading group!
October's in-person reading group will be hosted by Frankie Rechere, who will lead a space of communal study, refusal, and restoration. A sacred space grounded in the theories of Black radical feminists. We'll explore what it means to hold our worth separate to our productivity and reclaim rest not as a reward, but as a divine right.
Readings will include texts by Black radical feminists including Audre Lorde, Tricia Hersey and Alexis Pauline Gumbs.
Print-outs will be provided as well as teas and light snacks. Tickets are Pay What You Can; all proceeds will help us continue funding the work we do.
Schedule
5.30pm - Doors open (snacks + teas)
6.00pm - Reading begins
7.00pm - Break
7.10 - Reading continues
8pm - Final reflections + Close
