What story would you bottle?
Join American author and literary artist Jalissa Carter for Bottled Stories, an interactive writing experience exploring the memories, emotions, and life chapters we carry with us.
Using the language and imagery of wine labels as our creative starting point, you’ll choose a chapter from your own life and give it a vintage, title, notes, and story. Through guided writing prompts, quiet creative time, and optional conversation, you’ll transform that memory into your own literary-inspired wine label.
Each participant will receive a wine-inspired writing journal to use during the experience and take home. Your finished label can be added directly to your journal, turning your creation into a keepsake—and giving you a place to continue bottling your stories long after the workshop ends.
No writing experience or wine knowledge is required, and you do not need to drink wine to participate. Wine is simply our creative metaphor for exploring how stories develop, change, and take on new meaning over time.
Expect a relaxed and welcoming afternoon of writing, storytelling, creativity, and reflection. Sharing is always optional.

Jalissa Carter is an author, literary artist, workshop facilitator, and founder of Wedlope. Her work brings together literature, art, reflective storytelling, and wine-inspired symbolism to create approachable spaces for people to explore their own stories. She has facilitated literary programming in museums, bookstores, libraries, and virtual communities in the United States, and Bottled Stories marks the international expansion of her workshop programming.
